Tracing Cassis
A series of traces
Using a camera lucida, I traced one photo a day to document my time as an artist fellow at the Camargo Foundation in Cassis, France. Through this project, I tasked myself with learning how to see and how to remember. I began to notice the shapes of things and in noticing them I engraved the memory on paper and in my mind.
Tracing Cassis is an exploration in home making - in how I made Cassis my home and how that home comprises of places, things, and other people.
